The BEAC.org website is no longer available. All information about the CPEA and CPSA credentialing programs has been transferred to the Board for Global EHS Credentialing (BGC) website at GoBGC.org.
On March 4, 2020, The Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) and the Board for Global EHS Credentialing (BGC) announced their agreement to transition the Certified Professional Environmental Auditor (CPEA) and Certified Process Safety Auditor (CPSA) certifications from The IIA to the BGC. Both credentials were under the Board of Environmental, Health & Safety Auditor Certifications (BEAC). The transition brings CPEAs and CPSAs into a family of respected EHS professionals and provides them with access to a wider range of credentials and designations for improving public and environmental protection under the BGC umbrella. These include the Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), Certified Associate Industrial Hygienist (CAIH), Certified Professional Product Steward (CPPS), Qualified Environmental Professional (QEP), and Environmental Professional Intern (EPI).
We now refer to our organization and governing body as the Board for Global EHS Credentialing (BGC) and retain the American Board of Industrial Hygiene (ABIH), Institute of Professional Environmental Practice (IPEP), and Board of Environmental, Health & Safety Auditor Certifications (BEAC) to identify credentialing divisions under BGC’s organizational umbrella.
