BGC Award Submissions are now self-nominated and peer-nominated.

The BGC (CIH, CAIH, QEP, Auditing, and CPPS) Impact Awards are designed to recognize the contributions of individuals who have been Diplomates for less than 20 years.

The BGC CIH Lynn O’Donnell Lifetime Achievement Award is the highest honor awarded by the Board for Global EHS Credentialing for exemplary contributions to occupational and environmental hygiene that have culminated over a lifetime of work.

The BGC Auditing James C. Ball Lifetime Achievement Award is conferred by the Board for Global EHS Credentialing to a Certified Professional Environmental Auditor (CPEA) or Certified Process Safety Auditor (CPSA) who has made significant contributions to the environmental, health, and safety audit profession throughout his or her career. The award is given in honor of James Ball, an environmental, health, and safety auditor who was a professional leader, a tireless volunteer for the Board of Environmental, Health & Safety Certifications (BEAC), and a staunch advocate of EHS auditor certifications.

The CPPS and QEP Annual Awards are conferred by the Board for Global EHS Credentialing to qualified diplomates who have made exceptional contributions to the profession.

  • Lifetime Achievement Awards are the highest honor awarded to diplomates by the Board for Global EHS Credentialing for exemplary contributions to their practice that have culminated over a lifetime of work. Lifetime Achievement Awards recognize the contributions of an individual who has been a Diplomate for at least 20 years and is in good standing.
  • ​Impact Awards recognize the contributions of the Board for Global EHS Credentialing diplomates at different stages of their careers. Impact Awards recognize one single contribution made during the last five years for an individual who has been a Diplomate for less than 20 years, and is in good standing.

(Good Standing means that the individual is current on fees and recertifications.)
